Shalom Shalom! This is an online journal for friends and family of my return back to Israel, after many years of absence, to pursue graduate studies in Economics. I promise to keep politics out of this and just focus on the day to day tribulations of life in Israel. Enjoy, feel free to comment, and come visit me anytime!

Quick school update

School starts this sunday, how fun. I registered for classes and got what I wanted. This semester is going to be rough. I have 4 classes, and two mini-courses. Next semester is going to be equally as bad. Due to last year's student strike I am basically loading a year and a half of classes into a year so I can finish on time.

Not just that, I finally finished my project for my econometrics class last semester. A whopping 44 pages. We used the GMM estimation method to test various leisure-specific utility function forms against historical data from the OECD. I know it is thrilling for you, and therefore feel free to email me and I will send you the PDF of the project.

Lastly, I also have finagled a research assistant position for the year with Dr. Rosa Alonso, who is on sabbatical at TAU from the World Bank. I will be helping her write two papers, both dealing with endogenous variables to democratization.
