Shalom Shalom! This is an online journal for friends and family of my return back to Israel, after many years of absence, to pursue graduate studies in Economics. I promise to keep politics out of this and just focus on the day to day tribulations of life in Israel. Enjoy, feel free to comment, and come visit me anytime!

family

My sister is in town this week and we are swamped with family affairs. Today was the joint birthday party for my two little cousins, Tomer, who is six, and Uri, who is two. They are below blowing out the candles of their joint cake. My sister is in the middle..

Weddings and Such

The last three weeks or so have been filled with weddings and families and such, and I just wanted to acknowledge them and give a big Mazal Tov to everybody. First, Sarina and Yaron, maybe I will be able to attend both of your ceremonies! Josh and Jess, I expect the catering to be hands down fantastic. Knowing you two I wont be disappointed. Be prepared for Coco and I closing down the party. Liori and Mani, even though their wedding wont be for a while, its going to be a great affair of family and friends. Sharon and Ram, who are getting married tonight, its about damn time! Finally some proof that Ram exists. And I also want to acknowledge Jeff and Lindsey who sent me a fun little holiday card with great photos (my favorite is the one in the bottom right with Jeff looking like a goofball and the one in the top left with Nicholas in his costume).

Luckily for me I have plenty of single friends to rely on, and I always know that somewhere many years from now Jacob and I will be the swinging bachelors of the Del Boca Vista Retirement Community.

North

I took a last minute trip up north this weekend. Myself, Emily, Jakob, Justin, and Katie. We stayed at the Hermon Field School. The cabins were all booked the same weekend by the Chabbad International High School Girls annual conference. It was bizarre. They were making fun of us! Saturday we went to Golan Heights, did a two hour hike, and then drove along the Israel/Syria border, then drove down to the Kinneret and had dinner that we made on a bench on the beach. All in all a great day
This is me being accosted by a massive flock of goats that crossed our path while hiking
