Shalom Shalom! This is an online journal for friends and family of my return back to Israel, after many years of absence, to pursue graduate studies in Economics. I promise to keep politics out of this and just focus on the day to day tribulations of life in Israel. Enjoy, feel free to comment, and come visit me anytime!

strike

So the University Faculty staff has entered its 5th week, and according to news, there is no progress at all... With the Anapolis convention going on this week, there is no way anything will be solved this week, and probably next week, which means 7 weeks of strike, which is half the semester.

I am not happy at all.

And they wonder why "good" Israelis leave this country...

Acupuncture

I did acupuncture today for my first time ever on recommendation from Osi, who studies Chinese Medicine in Rehovot. It was an interesting experience... The 4th year students of her school have their residency right now, so they have really cheap sessions. This very nice woman did the acupuncture, and she had a number of interesting theories.
First, she noticed that all of my previous ailments, twisted ankle, sprained shoulder, and the irritation from my contact lenses, were only on my right side.
Secondly, my eye irritation thing has happened on both occasions that I have returned to Israel.

Who knows if there is any correlation with these things...

In any case, turns out my Earth element is weak, which deals with issues of transition and rootedness, which makes sense as I have been practically nomadic for the last 6 years of my life.
Who knows if I will notice anything in the future, but I scheduled a 2nd session in two weeks.
